Rinjani (part 1)

We were on our way to Senaru Pos, when we passed some wedding ceremonials long march along the way. We didn't know that it might be a best time to marry someone, only thought how it was coincidentally happen at the same time. As if it was right, we hope it would be a good sign to start our hiking journey on the next day.
One thing we knew already, to met a group from Jogja and a group from Semarang, was a great start up. We met wisely by the destiny, chosen by the time, and again, it was a kind of good sign of the day.

Parangloe Waterfall

If Bantimurung Waterfall is too mainstream for an adventure seeker, now i recommend to you, Parang Loe Waterfall. Located in Kab. Gowa, we can easily reach this place by public transportation or local called pete-pete from Makassar. Take a red pete-pete which is heading to Malino Highland near Balla Lompoa or at Terminal. Just tell the driver you want to stop in the entry gate of Parang Loe Waterfall. It is on the right side of the main road. For an easy clue, if you passed Bili-bili reservoir in the left side, it is nearby, about 15 minutes more. But if you still confused, just ask around. Based on my experience, locals are really helpful :)
You need to trek 4 km to reach the waterfall. It is a pleasant road, don't use flatshoes for girls :P  Waterfall is on a downside of the camping ground. There's no sign of its camping ground, unfortunately. Use your logic, it's a large empty field lol. Never try to make a visit on wet season (rain season). The down-trek will be so slippy and water amounts increase rapidly (and unpredictable) which make the area can be very dangerous.
So, if you travel around Makassar, or make a visit to Malino Highland in a dry season, never never hesitate to have a sort relaxing time here!
